New painted wood assemblages

These wood assemblages are made from painted lumber scraps scavenged from builder sites around the city. Moving around the colored shapes is a meditative practice in itself. Once an arrangement makes sense, I make it stay stuck. The shape of the scraps, texture of the wood, and the controlled palette are all very important.

I will exhibit these works and others in July & August at BANG Restaurant. More details to follow…
